1. Active accounts
While your account is active, we keep your projects, files, and history so you can access them.
2. Working files
Intermediate/working files may be cleared on a rolling basis after a project is delivered and approved (typically a short retention window) to manage storage. Final deliverables remain available to clients for the life of the account unless you ask us to remove them.
3. Financial records
Invoices and payment records are retained for as long as tax and accounting law requires, even after an account is closed.
4. Audit logs
Security and action audit logs are retained for a reasonable period for security, dispute resolution, and legal compliance.
5. Account deletion
See "What happens when your account is deleted" for exactly what is removed and what is retained.
What happens when your account is deleted
What is removed
Your profile and personal details, your sign-in ability, and your onboarding information (for editors/team: skills, portfolio, contact and payout details, and identity-verification documents) are removed or anonymized.
What is retained
Invoices and payment records are retained as long as tax and accounting law requires. Audit logs of significant actions are retained for security and dispute resolution. These may reference that an action occurred without exposing your removed personal details.
What happens to projects and files
For clients: your projects and final deliverables belong to your workspace. Tell us before deletion if you need copies. For editors/team: projects you worked on remain with Gaurify and its clients; your access ends and any local copies you hold must be deleted per your agreement.
Who owns uploaded content after deletion
Ownership is unchanged by deletion and follows the Content Ownership Policy: clients keep footage they provided and paid-for deliverables; Gaurify keeps the Platform and its own IP; editors hold no ownership.
